IFMGA Mountain Guide currently working between Chamonix (France) and the Kingussie, Scotland (United Kingdom). I take a great deal of pride in working with people in the mountains and bring considerable energy to any project.As an IFMGA Mountain Guide I have robust and current technical skills over a variety of disciplines, honed through in excess of twenty years of mountaineering. The bulk of my work now relies on building relationships with clients and companions quickly, managing expectations, mitigating the risk of hazardous terrain, and maintaining safety to achieve specific goals.Having worked in Outdoor Education, as a self employed Mountaineering Instructor, independent consultant and in volunteer Mountain Rescue Teams, I bring both broad and in depth experience to current projects.I am also an avalanche Forecaster for Scottish Avalanche Information Service (SAIS). In recent years, I have also been involved in not only training mountaineering and associated skills but contributing to the wider agenda of mountain safety and public engagement via the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) and the Chris Walker Memorial Trust (CWMT). Mountain Guiding is a regulated profession in many alpine nations. As a professional my qualifications have been verified in both France and Switzerland.
