ProducerNoobs Studios Oct 2020 - PresentFort Worth , Texas , UsI'm spending my days building a new kind of entertainment studio. Creator-owned and operated, fan-directed, and technology-driven. We believe that fans and creatives want the same thing - great stories being created by passionate talent for invested fans. We believe this simple goal can create abundance, purpose, and joy for both storytellers and fans. -
Member Of The Board Of AdvisorsMetaskys Inc. Jan 2022 - Feb 2024Middletown, Delaware, UsFilm has been a lifetime passion of mine, so while on my hiatus, I helped establish a think tank to explore the future of entertainment technology. We focus on maximizing what's available today while preparing for what will be possible tomorrow. We've explored AI, blockchain, crypto, augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, and all the realities - in search of new frontiers in storytelling. -
Health And Well-BeingCareer Break Jun 2022 - Jan 2023Took time to write, explore, travel, fellowship, meditate, fast, and sample a variety of mind-altering substances. I refused to accept any paid work during this time and let my ADHD run while chasing everything that seemed interesting in search of my passion.I met many really stellar people, got to help hundreds of entrepreneurs, and learned about dozens of new technologies that are already reshaping the very foundations of our society. I used all my money from the sale to establish a foundation- no mortgage, healthy mind, strong family relationships. I learned how to be broke again without being poor.I've gained more knowledge, perspective, and insight from this period of reflection than at any other point in my life. It was also the hardest to live through, and I considered giving up daily. Glad I didn't.

Independent ConsultantU.S. Department Of Homeland Security Apr 2020 - Sep 2020Washington, Dc, UsI accidentally fell back into Government work for a short time, helping out a colleague who went into the private defense sector with too much zeal and not enough prep—sourced $720M in Automation Technology for a DHS multi-agency federal law enforcement training center contractor.First (and hopefully last) time, I had to present in front of a government/military joint board to answer questions on the record in a private session. -
Production ManagerScribe Media Jan 2018 - Nov 2019Austin, Texas, UsThis position was a true miracle, we had just moved cross-country, have been living out of a hotel for weeks, and just signed on a new house. It was a Wednesday and were planning on moving in the following Monday, so I needed to head back to the East Coast on Friday morning. I did four phone interviews from the hotel, before driving the four hours to Austin to do my final interview on Thursday. I left not knowing if I had the jump, but knowing it was too late to change course now. They literally had to flag me onto the plane, as I was accepting the offer as I walked on.This job would be the best job I've ever had as far as employee work. I got to work with celebrities, thought leaders, and heads of empires. I lbasicly got paid to attend hundreds of private masterminds with the smartest people in the world. While I was there I successfully leveraged $4.68 million worth of resources to produce over $500 million in client outcomes. -
Marketing ConsultantAmazon Oct 2019 - Oct 2019Seattle, Wa, UsA repeat client in the executive suite reached out for some help. An hour later, we had built a game plan. They got to look like a hero in front of a bunch of really smart and powerful people, and I got to think about a big problem and offer some novel solutions. Win/Win. -
ProducerSap Feb 2016 - Dec 2018Walldorf, Bw, DeI courted SAP for almost a full year before our first deal. Then we got three more in as many months, the our client team started to talk to other teams. It was my first time on an international project meeting, covering four continents (NA, Eur, Asia, & Aus) so I got to experience the joy of discussing detailed, high six-figure contracts at 3:15am local...but we got it done. Over the course of a year, we produced over a dozen corporate films together, impacting dozens of teams, hundreds of employees, and tens of thousands of customers to live a little better life through the blend of technology and story. -
Director Of Business DevelopmentConversion Geeks 2014 - 2018Chesterfield, Va, UsAfter a rough start, things got better, but honestly, I was in the right place and the wrong position. Over time, this led to some professional and personal setbacks that, on paper at least, flatlined my career growth. In the grand scheme of things, however, it was a needed pivot point on my path towards entrepreneurship. I learned much about myself working on a micro team (5 people) and about startups, business, and life.I did manage to make some positive changes while I was there, 10xing the average deal size and increasing our CLV by 600% - but at the end of the day, there wasn’t room for growth, so I got stuck fast. -
Creative ConsultantTwitter Nov 2014 - Feb 2016San Francisco, Ca, UsI walked into the little studio with a big attitude. "Never fear, I is here" 😎 and promptly lost my first big lead six months in the making. -
Private ContractorUnited States Department Of Defense Jun 2015 - Oct 2015Washington, Dc, UsSomeone at the Navy talked to someone at the Pentagon who called another person that reached out to me for some help with a training program for a really complex project that I didn't fully understand how it worked but understood what it could do. -
ProducerUs Navy Feb 2015 - Mar 2015Washington, Dc, UsIt was a massive pain in the 🫏 to get our South American born Producer clearance, but we developed some 🔥internal PSA style awareness campaigns... unfortunately you can't appreciate without proper clearance. -
Marketing DirectorEarthwalk Communications Apr 2012 - Oct 2014Manassas, Virginia, UsTook me in as an inside sale guy even though I only had a retail background. I was horrible.I remember feeling the looming pink slip, every day thinking if I don't make a sale I'm fired. So when my boss caught me on the way to the bathroom in the early afternoon and asked me to swing by after I finished I expected the worst.I remember watching myself in the urinal and praying for a miracle. I sat down to the words I expected and dreaded. "I can't keep you in sales. Your numbers are unjustifiable." Understandable."So we are letting you create your own position helping us learn and apply all that digital marketing stuff you're always talking about.” 7 months later we introduced the newest flagship in the company’s most successful product launch in history. Thanks in no small part to the in-house marketing and video teams I The owners caught wind of what we were doing and had me do the same for their specialized e-commerce brand and we 3x sales in the first year. Great group of people, worked out daily, went on walks together around the lake, and got to travel for events. It was a good run, but by the time I left I was doing a 2 hour commute. Either move to DC or change jobs, so made the difficult decision to resign. I sometimes think I should have just moved. -
General ManagerHarbor Freight Tools Apr 2010 - Mar 2014Calabasas, Ca, UsI got recruited over the phone and half expected to get jumped because the store was in such a rough part of town. I knew nothing about tools, cars, or any other physical manly things, so I wasn't excited about the product, but the pay was better, so...After a few months of struggling I asked my GM how he learned all the different things we sold. The sheer amount of skus was mind boggling and completely nonsensical in both scope and theme. "Ask your customers" - simple but effective.I learned a lot from my customers. For example, I learned that having public bathrooms will not prevent someone from dropping down a 💩 on the box-like, stockroom floor in the middle of August at 8:35 on truck day. I also learned that suffering with friends is still suffering, but at least we can bond over our shared trauma. Met my best friend and decade long writing partner bonding over comic book references while cussing out the old, broken pallet jack, sliding around the inside of a frozen trailer with a biker gang looking set of hangry and groggy old men waiting to start the 10 hour process of unloading, unpacking, sorting stocking, and storing that was supposed to have started an hour before. Got robbed at gunpoint for the safe - quit. Have never wanted to work near cash ever since. -
General ManagerRest-N-Home Dec 2004 - Apr 2012My wife had some experience helping care for her family so she picked up some elderly companion jobs after class. She started getting certified to offer more services and started doing extended agreements. Client's talked. We took it full-time and legit. Hit capacity first day.Starting hiring. firing, hiring again, firing, crying, hiring, hiring, growing, promoting, hiring, firing, and hiring over and over till it got too big.Didn't match our life goals at the time, so we transitioned 96% of clients out and continued on part time for 8 months to be there for our first clients final moments. We closed the next week.

Merchandise Presentation ManagerWalmart Jan 2009 - Mar 2010Bentonville, Arkansas, UsMy first day on the job I was dirt poor and had on like $2 shoes. After an hour of walking around on that unforgiving tile my feet were burning. When I got off 9 hours later I had to sit for half an hour before I could walk to the car. I invested in new shoes. -
Radio Show HostWggm Radio - 820Am Jun 2004 - May 2007Walked in and asked for an impromptu tour. Met the station manager. Talked myself into hosting the Sunday evening variety show.
-
Sales ManagerOffice Depot Mar 2004 - Aug 2006Boca Raton, Florida, UsStarted as a sheltered seminary student needing an excuse to skip curfew. Did too good a job fixing the pen wall. Got Promoted.Didn't know sales so just started talking to the old people at the store about computers the same way I talked to the old people at church. Got Promoted.Eventually they just gave me the keys.
