Directing a team of 70 support personnel, I oversee logistics and operations for 6 PTDS (Persistent Threat Detection System) sites across southern and western Afghanistan. As we provide aerial surveillance services to clients, including the US Army, British Army, and NATO, our team handles all maintenance and repairs of electronic and electro-hydro systems, including 6 74K Aerostat and tethered Aerostat surveillance systems, Global Positioning, Navigation and Inertia Navigation systems. Managing all HR initiatives as a Level-4 Manager, I travel to our various sites, performing inspections and coordinating with our OCONUS Operations Manager regarding mission-critical concerns. Monitoring surveillance feeds, I work personally with our clients to evaluate and provide recommendations based on intelligence gathered from ground-sweeping radar and thermal cameras to support completion of their missions. With approximately $120 million worth of equipment and technology, I continually assess equipment functionality to assure timely maintenance and repair in an on-going effort to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Directing all maintenance and repair for 74K Aerostat surveillance systems, I managed operations for a PTDS site with 11 maintenance and repair support associates. As a primary point of contact for our clients, I also collaborated directly with key customer contacts regarding mission objectives and delivered on-going intelligence gathered from aerial surveillance. We oversaw the complete setup, launch, and recovery for these aerial surveillance systems, including on-going inspections, repairs, and modifications of electronic, surveillance, mechanical, and hydraulic components. With 96% mission availability, we provided superior oversight to mitigate risk and protect clients and costly equipment throughout their missions.

Chantilly Va. (Assigned To Afghanistan)

With accountability for 21 Forward Operating Bases and outposts across Northern Afghanistan, I led repair and maintenance for camera radars and fixed elevated sensor systems (RAID, SGS, and DRISS) and directed field-site preparation for all Cerberus Operating Systems, attaining a 100% mission-capable status for deployment. I also delivered flight and recovery support for EO/IR sensor payloads, military and telemetry radios, radar systems, and acoustic and ground sensors, directly supporting our client’s operations.

Altus, Oklahoma

Specializing in aircraft and electronic systems, including the KC135 and C-5, I managed maintenance and repair of satellite communication systems, radar and instrument systems, inertial navigation platforms, and autopilot systems. With accountability for training new Systems Technicians, we performed all flight inspections, working as outsourced contractors and completing repair projects within 12-hour deadlines. As our maintenance team exceeded objectives, attaining 98% performance standard, we were the first civilian maintenance group to receive the “Best C-5 Preflight Crew” award in 2005. With our team securing 85% rating for “mission fully capable status,” I was also awarded with the Civilian Achievement Medal.

I managed installation, maintenance, and repair of navigation systems, troubleshooting malfunctions and training new personnel in various methodologies. Using techniques based on Advanced Navigational Theory, Theory of Electronics, High Power Offense Radar Systems, and Multiple Integrated Navigational Theory, we assessed and identified root causes of malfunctions and executed repair strategies. I assigned staff to projects and directed schedules to assure completion of work within deadlines.
