A lot of work isn’t working and I’m curious about shifting structures that enable more sustainable and vibrant (read; healthy) workplaces.I’ve had a fairly non-linear path that I can probably now best describe as pursuing a deep personal question around belonging. I spent 4 years as a partner to entrepreneurs in Haiti and Mexico with social impact work. I was struck by the opportunity in digitally enable finance and moved to NYC where I dedicated time to cross-border payments and small business funding. I’ve run a venture studio model at Proton with multiple businesses operating at one time and my work with nutritious brands has remained constant throughout my career. I’ve been deeply committed to the pursuit of reclaiming sovereignty in health - to build products that quite literally belong in your body. I've started 5 different natural product brands and have learned just as much through the failures as the successes.I helped start a nutritional supplement business that, in partnership with Neurologist David Perlmutter, MD and Garden of Life, has become the #1 digestive health brand in the US. I'm an angel investor in 50+ wellness brands including: Thrive Market, MUD/WTR, Primal Kitchen, Eight Sleep, JuneShine, Serenity Kids, and Levels Health as well as emerging VCs, often in their first fund or as solo GPs. I also run a small growth equity fund called, ALIVE. At Yale I studied Humanities, with interests from the arts and philosophy to architecture and business. I’m still fairly connected to the Yale community, having been invited as an assistant course facilitator at the Yale School of Management and as a director of Accelerate Yale, an alumni group supporting entrepreneurship in the Yale community.My work and personal life are pretty blended, but outside of the office I delight in a sauna/cold plunge routine, getting out into the Montana wilderness that is my backyard, and home carpentry projects. I'm also currently stepping into more artistic expressions in music and the visual arts.
