As I.T. and Systems Manager I manage the I.T. function across all three Universal Graphics sites. During this time I took on many roles, including:• SalesI took sales inquiries from reception, over the phone and email. I then processed these requests through our sales software and provide quotations to customers. I was responsible for making sure these jobs are produced and delivered to the customer according to schedule.I acted as point of contact for companies such as Combilift, Nightline, Leaseplan and Height for Hire.• DesignI am proficient in design and pre-press for multiple media types, plotted and printed graphics for vehicles, banners, various interior and exterior signage.I used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and SAI Flexisign on a daily basis to create these designs.• Automation EngineerI programmed and managed the automation software used by the company to process files and automated sequences. My background in web development and programming was useful here as I have a good knowledge of HTML, XML, PHP, C# and Javascript. This also gave me a good understanding of processing artwork through Enfocus Pitstop to supply print ready files for production.• ProductionWhen I was stationed in production my primary role was to oversee and manage the production of plotted graphics. I managed stock of materials, set up design files for plotting using three plotters simultaneously and ensured all graphics were prepared correctly according to schedule for installation. I have an extensive knowledge of plot and print materials including various solid substrates.I am trained in the operation and maintenance of large format printers and can confidently set up files for print using Caldera and Versa Works. I am also capable of running several production machines like laminators, Fatoba and Kongsberg cutting/milling table.• I.T.Given my background in I.T. I am the general in-house support for any issues or upgrades to the company’s machines or network.

In my role as Manager of Diamond Screen Cinema Monaghan I managed stock, organised film times and staff/staff rota. I managed till floats, cash lodgements, nightly reports and the general running of the cinema. I was responsible for shop sales and promotion of all aspects of the business.

In my role of head projectionist I ran and maintained all four projectors. I made up and broke down the 35mm film prints and organized collection and delivery of films. I managed projection staff and made sure that projection procedures were correctly implemented to maintain the quality and cleanliness of the projection.

I worked here during the summer for work experience doing general web development tasks, building websites, flash animations, Joomla etc.
