CurrentSuccesses include:- Reshaping the creative programme for Grimsby Creates (Cultural Development Fund) by successfully launching an open process for creative leads which saw four projects with very strong local engagement selected from a national competition. - Secured a substantial grant (£90,000) from Arts Council England to bring back Festival of the Sky to extend the tourist season. - Re-commissioned Festival of the Sea to deliver the first major event in Grimsby as lockdown was lifted receiving public, artistic and cultural acclaim.- Established positive working relationships with the heritage and culture sector in NEL, seeing the development of the NEL Heritage Network, which has seen over 60 people virtually attend meetings leading to the establishment of the Heritage Starter Fund.- Secured unprecedented levels of investment in heritage and culture through the Cultural Recovery Fund including over £150,000 for the Fishing Heritage Centre and the Time Trap Museum. - Supported Grimsby Minster secure £300,000 for vital capital works and business planning resulting in the opening of a new café.- Supported the development of the Grimsby Town Centre Masterplan which places culture, leisure and heritage at the heart of the visitor experience.
