The primary responsibilities are to teach and to develop the curriculum. Prepare and provide students with course outlines that support learning objectives set forth in the course syllabus. Develop and measure learning outcomes. Assess student performance and maintain grade records.Create an effective learning environment through the use of a variety of instructional methods. Collaborate in the development and continued assessment of learning outcomes for use in program reviews and curriculum revision. Work with other programs and/or discipline faculty to complete scheduled program reviews and to use the findings to revise the curriculum. Participate in appropriate professional development activities to assure currency in both discipline, knowledge and instructional methods. Participate in department/discipline, division, campus, and college meetings and committees.Participate in college projects, surveys, studies, and reports that relate to the discipline or program.Collaborate in the development of program and/or discipline promotional materials. Support the college's goals. Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

• Responsible for the on-boarding of new faculty and staff for two TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) programs • Effectively supervise the day-to-day activities and calendars of the two TRiO program Directors and program staff.• Heavily involved in the planning and development of the Umoja Program.o This includes the development of the Umoja classes and each courses’ proprietary curriculum.o This also includes the planning and development of the mentoring component of the Umoja program.• Responsible for coordinating the recruitment activities for both of the campus’s TRiO Programs and Umoja Program. o This includes presenting the program services of the TRiO Scholars and STEM Scholars to the students on campus, faculty, as well as the surrounding communities. o Plan and coordinate campus tours

• Tasked with providing direct counseling-based support services to individual students and small groups• Responsible for providing peer-mentoring services to the program’s students, along with completing written evaluations about the students’ progress throughout their tenure with the program. This data was later submitted to the US Department of Education.• Supporting more than 350 students per semester in developing plans, maintaining enrollments, and graduating/transferring.• Applying and incorporating high-impact student support practices including counseling interventions, phone calls and emails.

• Have provided supplemental instructional services for more than 500 different students across four academic years.• I attended several Political Science and English courses that featured a notable amount of the program’s students.• Responsible for providing additional instruction while I was attending the course, and I would recap each lecture with the students at a later time. • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of enrollment persistence in at least two courses per semester.

• I assisted students with beginning and completing their university applications.• I organized and filed documents for the program directors. • I provided direct support to the program directors, individual students, and other small groups. • I handled front desk responsibilities: answering phones, making appointments for the director’s, greeting students, and completing written reports as requested.
