As a management executive and strategist with vision, I build organizations, systems and infrastructure and transform great ideas into reality. I am known as a concept architect who develops and transforms strategic plans into workable solutions through the creation and implementation of new initiatives, and the application of solid business practices and strategies.As Associate Dean, Operations and Strategy for the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, I have managed the school’s Technical Services and Operations department for 20 years. During this time, I have overseen more than 35 construction and renovation projects, including the $60 million technology intensive Wallis Annenberg Hall. With 30 years of experience in higher education, including technology, admissions, financial aid and student services, I have an extensive background in all facets of academia.I believe service is the foundation for success in any organization. At the heart of everything I do, and what makes me an effective leader, is creating a collaborative culture that puts service at the forefront. My father taught me a service-first attitude and from my early years working in hospitality and retail, I have seen that the best leaders are those who never lose sight of this timeless concept. My experiences have shaped me into a leader who takes good old-fashioned attention to service, updates it with changing technologies and business practices, and promotes a service-first mindset.
