I am a retired Navy Veteran. I enlisted in 2000 where I went for 2 years of training followed by 5 years of electronic maintenance and operation. From there I worked in accessions as a recruiter for 3 years where I learned Professional Sales Skills (PSS) and developed interpersonal as well as professional phone skills. The next 7 1/2 I worked in electronic maintenance and operation in a supervisory role where I was selected for the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Now and for the last 2 years I am back in Human Resources where I serve as a Classifier specializing in job placement for Future Sailors where I place Navy Applicants in positions that best prepare them for success. Another one of my duties is accessing and mobilization. In this role I prepare 1500 Future Sailor records a year for transfer to Recruit Training Command. After having spend so many years preparing Sailors for a future in the Navy, I've decided to continue that path as a Talent Acquisition Specialist with NOV.
