Devops Lead
The primary focus of the DevOps team at Aegis is to support the infrastructure of the Aegis CRM and Care applications. The largest effort in support of the SaaS platform is the complete migration of the on-prem resources from the data center to the MS Azure platform. This includes building the Networking, Load Balancing, Storage, SQL databases (on VMs), Firewalls, Virtual Machines, and other supporting technologies required for both the SaaS platform and the team at Aegis. To achieve the most performant SQL databases on VMs, I deployed Azure NetApp Files as the primary storage solution to house our data. This has proven to outperform even the fastest on-prem storage solutions, dramatically improving the experience for our clients. While migrating the entire infrastructure, we also wanted to continue to modernize the platform by deploying new applications to cloud-native App Services. Utilizing these services will continue to drive down costs while improving productivity by reducing overhead. The DevOps experience at Aegis has been a rewarding one giving me the opportunity to be completely emersed in the MS Azure platform.
