• The company conducts research, product development and manufacture of mass spectrometers for the environmental, drug discovery and development fields.2015-2017
• Root cause analysis and resolution of manufacturing problems on 5” mass-filter arrays.
• Modification of 8” mass-filter arrays to improve performance, increase manufacturing yield and reduce cost.2012-2015
• Using a blend of scientific knowledge with a drive for efficient, cost effective production led to streamlined production of mass-filter workflow (x12 faster) with 20% improved performance (an extra 500 amu range).
• Logical identification and unique protocol development for photo-cure epoxies used in mass-filter arrays subjected to high stress environments: resulting manufacturing yield increased from 75% to 99%.
• These mass-filters, in turn, reduced development time for a new product (SCIEX X-500), allowing an ‘on-time’ launch and a reduction of development costs by $3 million, and have now become standard across the SCIEX.
