I am the founder of Verature Forensics and currently oversee all of Verature's client work. I have been conducting fraud and forensic accounting investigations since 2008.My work focuses on helping clients navigate and resolve disputes in complex financial matters. I have extensive experience in conducting fraud and forensic accounting investigations, fraud loss damage calculations, fund tracings, asset recoveries, and money laundering analysis.For six years I worked with the FBI as a forensic accountant and supervisor, conducting complex financial crime investigations throughout the United States and internationally. From 2014 to 2016, I was the head of the FBI's Forensic Accountant Support Team stationed at FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C.I have testified as an expert witness in trials, court hearings, and depositions. I have also provided financial analysis and expert consulting services for clients during trials, mediations, and other settlement related proceedings. In addition to my forensic accounting practice, I have provided consulting and training on forensic accounting techniques and analysis to local, state, federal and international law enforcement agencies. I have also held accounting faculty positions at several highly ranked colleges and universities throughout the United States.I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).In addition to my work at Verature Forensics, I am also an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Utah and the Vice President and President-elect of the Utah chapter of the ACFE.
