Communications Manager – Supplier Engagement Developed cadence of internal and external communications to enable Fortune 500 company's suppliers to meet ambitious environmental goals. This includes driving communication plans to inform stakeholders, enable supplier disclosures, and build supplier capabilities.Developed and assisted in the implementation of communication strategies to inform and drive supplier participation in the supplier sustainability program. This includes crafting messaging, developing communication plans, and creating content to effectively communicate sustainability efforts to both internal and external stakeholders. Collaborated closely with cross-functional teams to gather information and data related to sustainability performance and use that information to create programmatic summaries and updates for internal and external audiences.

During his time at Scoville, Jaime lead the media relations and account management for several of the firm’s innovative clients. His work with these companies brought him in daily contact with national and local reporters in energy, alternative fuels, technology, and business. He has an uncanny ability to synthesize technical information (like various strains of phototrophic algae or the transesterification process of producing biodiesel or cloud computing) and translate it into digestible language for lay audiences.Recognized by Scoville’s inaugural “Talking the Talk, Walking the Walk” award, James is deeply committed to sustainability and renewable energy in every aspect of his life – at times even to the annoyance to his friends (he’s that “recycling guy” at the bbq). This passion drives him in his daily work with media and has resulted in his clients being covered by media outlets such as the New York Times, Discovery Channel, Wall Street Journal, Seattle Times and Xconomy.com.

As a Communications Specialist and the Public Information Officer for King County Emergency Management, Jaime had overall responsibility for crisis communications, coordinating multi-agency/multi-county responses to natural disasters and other public crises. He also coordinated the multi-agency Regional Public Information Network, an online resource which connected public and private service agencies with the general public through mobile alerts.

As a Program Officer in the World Affairs Council of Seattle's International Visitor Program (IVP), James developed and coordinated international diplomacy programs between Seattle area business and community leaders and delegates from around the world. In this position he came in contact with the Puget Sound's top minds in government, business, non-profit, while working first hand with leaders in their respective fields as identified by the U.S. State Department.
