I've been involved with computers for a long, long time. I was an original member of PACS (Philadelphia Area Computer Society). I've dabbled in both personal computer worlds (Mac vs. PC). I love to help people and always seem to get involved with groups that need help (much to the chagrin of my wife who says I volunteer too much). But it's what I like to do.I had been in the financial industry for the past 15 years with BNY Mellon as a Sr. Software Engineer until recently. Now I am moving on to explore new endeavors. I'm looking to help organizations who can and will make a difference in our world. I've also changed my philosophy on payment for work I do. I'm now going to follow the "gift economy" when seeking payment. What is that? Simply, it's "you pay me what you believe the work I did is worth". We need to trust each other more.I'm currently involved with a bunch of projects and helping people with their technology needs, primarily as a web consultant. These organizations include The Arc of Delaware County, Special Olympics of Delaware County, Haverford Music Festival, Patch Adams Free Clinic of Philadelphia, and Timebank Media.I am currently working on a community integration project for people with intellectual disabilities called "New Avenue Foundation". We have taken the 1st step to making this venture a reality. Now we are forming a non-profit. More to come on that.I have excellent skills in Fortran the programming language. But more importantly, I've learned new skills over the past 10 years in the area of php, java, javascript, CSS, HTML, WordPress, Drupal and Android app development.Specialties: website development and troubleshooting, helping solve computer-related problems
