I was promoted to manage the design and delivery of consumer goods sold at major retail chains worldwide. I supervised up to 5 product designers and illustrators, and served as a senior member of the Product Development & Design team. In this role, I partnered with product designers, illustrators, and product managers to create products in multiple categories, and worked closely with retail merchants, product developers, and sales teams on the development of new products. I prepared and delivered client-site presentations at Disney, Marvel Studios, Lucas Films, and Ubisoft, and oversaw as many as 8 product lines simultaneously, averaging 150 or more products, including seasonal items. In addition, I carried out market and competitor research, including fashion, popular culture, and social media trends, represented the company at domestic and international industry events, analyzed sales of current lines, and identified opportunities.Selected Accomplishments:• Successfully guided the design and delivery of hundreds of new or revised items per year.• Selected to the help lead a special project focused on pursuing new growth opportunities.• Reduced production times and saved thousands of dollars in freelance fees by introducing in-house 3D rendering.• Developed several profitable products for Ubisoft’s initial product line.• Key member of the team that launched a new retail initiative for Party City, featuring Marvel licensed products. During this time, I spearheaded complete product development life cycles, including conceptualization, design, review, and delivery. I hired, trained, and supervised a team of product managers, and also led teams of designers and packaging layout artists. The role included participating in presentations, preparing concept art and pre-production samples, and providing information on printing and fabrication techniques. I also served as the art design liaison to licensors.
