Obtained Professional Engineering license in Software Engineering and Electronics, Controls, and Communications - 1 of less than 100 licensed Software Engineers in the U.S.A.ETAS' Application and Engineering Services (AES) neXtECU champion/nanny. Responsible for the development of a multi-core embedded control unit R&D platform and associated engineering and manufacturing teams. We designed neXtECU for integration into various ground vehicle subsystems focused on propulsion applications including Engine: 12 cylinder CI ( SI capable but not deployed) Opposed piston: support for up to 3 module opposed piston architectures (e.g. NGCV ACE) Turbine control (not in the original plan, but lived up to "Lab Monster" nickname) Transmission: 32 speed binary demonstrated (64 speed capable) (e.g. NGCV ACT) Designed the prototype aluminum enclosure for the ETAS neXtECU utilizing Solidworks. Created virtual and 3D printed prototypes for UX discussions with stakeholders. Consulted with thermal simulation team to create de-rating spreadsheet for actuator channels of neXtECU.Primary technical liaison between customers and neXtECU product related development staff including HIL, embedded software, electrical, mechanical and test teams. Provided leadership and coordination to ensure successful program execution leveraging a large multi-national development staff. Supply chain creation: Selected/sourced/managed subcontractors and vendors in the development of the neXtECU. Built ground up team/suppliers to provide core engineering and manufacturing capabilities. This infrastructure was largely kept in place even after ETAS’s exit from the endeavor.Provide technical consultations to support creation of business plan, sales and marketing strategy. Primary focus in this role spanned three (3) major projects in addition to technical pre/post sales support of various ETAS software engineering tools.Software lead for development of the digitally controlled On-Board Charger Module (OBCM) for automotive batteries. Created the initial software requirements and software design, integrated low level platform software, and created initial control application software. Developed software simulations in ASCET to virtually prototype the control algorithms for cross functional review. Coordinated with the embedded software testing team and end of line manufacturing test team to ensure development of appropriate software interfaces to allow efficient testing of the embedded unit.Technical lead for the initial conversion of a Bosch production (M)EDC17 control units into a generic (system agnostic) embedded control unit in collaboration with Robert Bosch Engineering India (RBEI), Bosch Engineering Group (BEG) and Bosch Diesel Gas Systems group (DGS). Primary responsibilities included technical liaison between lead customer and various ETAS and Bosch teams , acceptance testing of the ecu with low level base software, creation of interface documentation for application software developers, training and deployment of FlexECU into multiple global customer's R&D groups spanning military, marine, and automotive domains to target sub-systems such as engine, transmission, hybrid-electric, and hybrid-hydraulic propulsion units. Created the Matlab Simulink custom block library that together with ETAS EHOOKS enabled direct integration of Simulink models into the FlexECU base software.Acceptance test and supplier coordination for HIL deployment across multiple global locations. Served as liaison between OEM, Tier1 and dSpace HIL team to ensure proper and timely deployment of HIL bench.Parallel responsibilities including ISO 26262 Tool Qualification, ETAS ASCET pre/post sales/support
