Technical Specialist - Development Ecu Platforms
    Etas Jan 2013 - Jul 2019
    Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, De
Obtained Professional Engineering license in Software Engineering and Electronics, Controls, and Communications - 1 of less than 100 licensed Software Engineers in the U.S.A.ETAS' Application and Engineering Services (AES) neXtECU champion/nanny. Responsible for the development of a multi-core embedded control unit R&D platform and associated engineering and manufacturing teams. We designed neXtECU for integration into various ground vehicle subsystems focused on propulsion applications including Engine: 12 cylinder CI ( SI capable but not deployed) Opposed piston: support for up to 3 module opposed piston architectures (e.g. NGCV ACE) Turbine control (not in the original plan, but lived up to "Lab Monster" nickname) Transmission: 32 speed binary demonstrated (64 speed capable) (e.g. NGCV ACT) Designed the prototype aluminum enclosure for the ETAS neXtECU utilizing Solidworks. Created virtual and 3D printed prototypes for UX discussions with stakeholders. Consulted with thermal simulation team to create de-rating spreadsheet for actuator channels of neXtECU.Primary technical liaison between customers and neXtECU product related development staff including HIL, embedded software, electrical, mechanical and test teams. Provided leadership and coordination to ensure successful program execution leveraging a large multi-national development staff. Supply chain creation: Selected/sourced/managed subcontractors and vendors in the development of the neXtECU. Built ground up team/suppliers to provide core engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
