 Achieved the highest deployment & utilization rate of the previous five years opening the door for new opportunities for utilization of the Naval Reserve. Responsible for the training & readiness (T&R) of 100+ aircrew, eliminating nearly all risks to squadron performance while ensuring that T&R requirements were met on-schedule and on-budget. Preserved money & resources by moving the planning period from 3 months to 18 allowing the squadron to cut its monthly time-to-train in half. Developed data synthesis IT solution to combine output of multiple deprecated databases into predictive forecasting & visualization tool. Personally developed & implemented the fiscal year budget & training plan for 300 tactical flight events and 300 pilot proficiency events per year. Overcame significant hurdles associated with drastic organizational change to replace reticence & mistrust with cooperation & synthesis. Rebuilt a decimated maintenance department from 15 full-time and 60 part-time personnel to 80 full-time and 80 part-time. Increased production management, quality assurance and aviation maintenance qualifications 10-fold over an 18 month period, restoring expeditionary capability to a unit that had not deployed in the previous three years because it lacked qualified personnel. Improved qualifications, certifications, & licenses (QCL) within the Maintenance Department from 9 to 424 within the first 8 months in the unit and added an additional 458 in the next 8 month period. Developed online training management IT tool for Naval Air Training & Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) testing & certification, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) instrument rating certifications. Two time winner of the Chief of Naval Operations Safety Award and 2009 recipient of the Department of the Navy Safety Excellence Award distinguishing the squadron as the best in all of the Reserve Air Enterprise.
