As the Associate Director of Global Affairs and Director of Global Academic Initiatives, my primary responsibilities include supporting the Assistant Vice Chancellor in Strategic Planning, Assessment, and Special Projects including Grant Management for Global Affairs and leading ECU's award wining Virtual Exchange Initiatives. This includes working with ECU faculty and staff to promote, help develop and support virtual exchange programming, managing our virtual exchange partnership network, Global Partners in Education, developing and offering professional development opportunities associated with virtual exchange and global learning, and conducting assessment and research on virtual exchange.
Director Of Global Understanding
Global Understanding is a unique program that uses technology to give students a significant, real-time international experience from their home institutions. Currently, we offer 20 sections of the course across 11 disciplines in 4 colleges on campus. As the Director of the Global Understanding Program, my primary responsibility ensuring the success of ECU's Global Understanding Courses. This includes training new partner teachers both here at ECU and abroad, managing the daily activities and troubleshooting any challenges associated with the courses, developing, disseminating and evaluating core policies and procedures (with the help of my team at ECU and input from our international partners) and conducting partner evaluation.
