I have a diverse background and training in biology with a focus in natural resources. My work experience includes working on multiple restoration projects related to a Natural Resource Damage Assessment settlement, ecological and human health risk assessments, data management and reporting, project management, and a wide variety of field and laboratory experience.     Worked as part of the Natural Resources Damage team to plan and implement multiple restoration and construction projects in Midland, Bay, and Saginaw counties as part of a NRD settlement.  Projects included the restoration of more than 2,800 acres of agricultural land to upland, wetland, and mesic habitats; construction of multiple miles of natural and ADA trails, multiple parking areas, construction of fishing platforms, wayfinding and educational signage, expansion of a DNR boat launch, preservation of the Saginaw Rear Range Lighthouse, expansion of the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, and the construction of a fish passage structure at the Dow Dam.  Some specific tasks with these projects included assisting with floristic quality assessments, conducting observation only fish surveys, data organization, and assisting with writing multiple design plans, writing and implementing monitoring and maintenance plans, writing construction completion reports and construction quality assurance plans, and annual reports.  Also assisted with preparing and submitting permits to the Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE), conducting bat emergence surveys and assisting with mussel relocation efforts.
