As the Donor Relations Intern, I am in charge of reaching out to the Charleston community and encouraging those to donate blood or host a blood drive. I work with organizations and help create promotional material to ensure they will have attendance at their blood drives. I also travel to local schools and inform others about the donating process. Part of this position is publicly speaking to organizations in order to have them host a blood drive. On the day of the blood drive, I supervise the drive to make sure everything goes as it should.

Through these jobs, I have learned to create activities, crafts, and more to help educate children.

The Humanitarian Service Project has given me one on one experience to learning essential skills for future classes and careers. I write weekly blogs, create updated brochures and binders, and create mailers to gather more supporters. I have written a press release that appeared on the Daily Herald website and do many other miscellaneous tasks. Every time I create something the team decides what changes to make, thus I am willing to learn, great with other people, and take any necessary advice.
