I started my IT career back in May of 2022. I have a mainly Retail background which I believe bring’s forward People Skills and most importantly patience!I got my first taste of working in a professional IT environment when I was a short term contractor for Aberdeen University. I assisted the Network Team in rolling out a new wave of Wireless Access Point’s. Over my time there I managed the Project and installed 436 Wireless Access Point’s across 12 buildings, over multiple Campuses. From August of 2022, I started at iO IT Services as an Apprentice Systems Consultant. I have worked my way through a Two Year course with QA, finished my apprenticeship and I am now a Systems consultant. I am continuing to develop my skills and knowledge as I go through the Helpdesk. This information was then populated into a spreadsheet for the University to use in the future to know exactly how many brackets of each type they need. Over the last two week we had no Access Point’s in stock so I surveyed other buildings that will be upgraded in the future.
