HR Generalist role supporting in excess of 300 employees covering 3 sites across Scotland. The main responsibility of the role included recruitment from drafting job descriptions to offer stage. During my time at BioReliance the team recruited over 73 new roles from March to December 2015. My other duties included:First line of support for any HR queries from employeesAbsence review meetingsClose working with occupational health providerER case workComplex case management including settlement agreementsPayroll imput through ADP freedom systemSAP system updates and maintenance Mentor and Trainer for HR AssistantDeveloping closer relationships with SMT and Managers in the businessExtensive travel to all three sites on a regular basis providing support to all staffKey projects that I was responsible for included:Reducing agency usage by 25% - this involved looking at new methods of recruitment including graduate fairs, internships as well as new platforms including glassdoor.HR Metrics - created HR dashboard to display clearly how long roles were taking to fill, cost, shortlisting time, leavers, turnover and other key KPIs that were able to be measured. This was sent to Managers every month providing them with a screenshot of HR recruitment activities.Absence Tracker - This was created to track absence within the business and resulted in much closer monitoring of absence cost, reason and identified key trends. User friendly and supported absence review meetings.Policy development - was tasked with updating the Shared Parental Leave policy which involved creating a very simple flow chart for employees and had started to create training plans to deliver to managers.Employee turnover - key project looking at why turnover was high in the business. Developed key metric data to present to the site head on a regular basis which supported the implementation of a benchmarking exercise lead by the Senior HR Manager.

First point of contact for all employee queries covering the UK, Ireland and Holland. My role entails carrying out investigations into employee issues including absence, misconduct, performance as well as disciplinary and grievance matters. Other duties of the the role include:- Supporting Senior Management on a daily basis and facilitating requests- Absence Management including welfare meetings, and requesting GP reports- Drafting contracts of employment for new and existing staff in Holland- Monitoring Optometrist turnover and generating reports- Managing a very demanding ER workload - Providing advice and guidance to workforce in excess of 5000 employees
