Having spent >thirty years running a successful PR & marketing agency, it was time for a change! So it was that Sarah and I bought a well-established UK Work Permits business in 2008. We rebranded as UK Visas in 2011 and the business has continued to grow ever since. We now have over 200 corporate clients on our books for whom we aim to provide an outstanding professional service at a sensible and competitive price. We are authorised by the OISC. Our main clients are in-house HR departments who don’t want the hassle and time-consuming task of keeping up-to-date with immigration law for what is often only half-a-dozen or so cases a year.A recent survey conducted for us by a third party supports the notion that we provide a cracking good service, know our subject and respond quickly to enquiries. We are also considered to offer excellent value-for-money.

Oversaw the switch from B2B Communications to Zoo Communications, reflecting the shift of the business to a more creative agency – and our location next to Chessington World of Adventures.

Given our credentials as trade marketing specialists it was a natural move to rebrand the business. It also suited the newly emerging digital age with the development of web development skills in-house.

Started out as a one-man band in a shared office. First major client was Whitbread who remained a client until after my departure from Zoo thirty two years later. Ran trade PR and advertising campaigns for Heineken, Stella Artois, Allied Domecq, Lever Bros, Milk Marketing Board, GSK, Birds Eye Walls, Scott UK, SKY to name but a few. Added design and in-house photography in 1990 when we moved the business to Chessington.

Joined this technical PR agency to broaden experience. Clients included British Constructional Steelworks Association and Constantine Forwarding.

First foray into PR. First client was a fledgling stainless steel exhaust system manufacturer called “Bugle” yes really! Other clients included Godfrey Davis, Heineken and Matthew Clark.
