With a diverse background in social work and sales management, I have developed expertise in client relations and am now working on developing my skills in a clinical setting. Currently serving as a Clinical Social Work Intern at Rooted Psychotherapy and Counseling, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Rutgers, I bring skills in CBT, case management, trauma-informed care, and Global aid and interventions. My desire to pursue a career in Social Work is guided by a holistic, person-in-environment approach, deeply rooted in a commitment to social justice. Before transitioning to social work, I gained extensive experience in sales and account management within the craft beer industry, where I excelled in customer acquisition, client education, relationship building, and team leadership. I also have extensive experience working with children as a nanny, music teacher, elementary school intern, and volunteer child advocate within the foster care system.
