Jamie is driven in the field of criminal investigation and strives to provide positive outcomes for those most affected while acknowledging the continuing need to maximise every penny in the public purse. He has over twenty years experience covering an array of policing events, ranging from homicide and CSA/E operations, through to supporting the tragic Manchester Arena investigation and leading as the senior detective across the City of Manchester. Jamie has operated as a uniformed officer and a detective officer, spending nearly seven years as a Major Incident Team Detective Chief Inspector before gaining promotion to the rank of Detective Superintendent in 2019. Jamie is a qualified PIP3 and PIP4 investigator, specialising in CSE and historic sexual abuse enquiries. Following nearly three years policing the City of Manchester, Jamie was posted as Greater Manchester Police’s Vulnerable Adult lead officer, specialising in advancing domestic abuse policing. He was seconded to the VAWG Taskforce to lead on the development of the DA Joint Justice Plan, before joining the College of Policing where he is the Crime and Criminal Justice delivery lead.
