Jamie is an NCTJ-certified journalist with extensive experience on the sports desks of the Daily Express, The Sun and The London Standard who is now in training to become a FIFA-qualified football agent.An avid rugby union player from the age of eight, Jamie switched to playing football around 15 over medical concerns about his height and suffering injuries with the oval-shaped ball game.Born in Hammersmith and raised in Teddington, Jamie chose to attend the University of Leeds to study History after deciding he wanted to become a sports journalist.After completing the course with News Associates in Leeds, Jamie returned to London to start paid work with the Daily Express and Daily Star.Having worked under and alongside some brilliant sporting minds at the Northern and Shell Group for over five years he embarked on a six-month backpacking trip around Central America in October 2017.Upon his return to the capital in April 2018 he opted to go down the commercial content route and work for brands such as Totaljobs, Resulta, Haven, British Airways, DAZN Bet, Trainline, Better Collective and Gamdom.Jamie is looking to become a FIFA-licensed football agent when he undertakes the exam at Wembley on Wednesday 21 May, 2025.Enquiries: jdickenson1990@gmail.com / 07856183765.
