Elian had just acquired a smaller fiduciary company and I was part of a project team, which was tasked with migrating documents and data onto the Elian systems and completing risk assessments on the incoming clients. This involved quickly learning new programs and being able to assist others in using these. Alongside this I was undertaking daily client tasks such as payments, correspondence and drafting minutes and written resolutions.

Bahrain

I was employed by Elian to undertake a secondment to one of their most valued clients, located in Bahrain.My role as part of the Corporate Secretarial Department involved the management and maintenance of the client’s online database, Blueprint One World, which stores all company information and documents. As this is a relatively new system for the client I was heavily involved in the design and set-up of the database, and the training of new users. I was the main point of contact for anyone in the business who had queries regarding the database.I undertook a number of projects including the collation and upload of historic documents onto Blueprint One World, which included liaising with various external lawyers, and a review of the statutory records of the client’s Bahraini companies, making sure all documents were up to date and accounted for.I also assisted with the administration of the client’s local and international companies including drafting resolutions, correspondence, filing, and arranging approval and execution of documents.

From December 2008 to January 2013 I worked in the Regular Payments team, which involved creating, amending and cancelling customers’ standing orders, cancelling, recalling and processing indemnity claims of Direct Debits, and assisting customers directly with their complaints and queries.From January 2013 until the time I left the group, my role was working in the Fixed Deposits team, which involved setting up and breaking customers’ deposits, and also assisting withexternal customer queries. During this time I also assisted the Treasury Back Office team, including carrying out cash management duties and daily sweeps of the group’s numerous currency accounts.
