My passion lies in providing first class customer service through knowledge and approachability. After sixteen years in the hospitality industry, working for some amazing people in some fantastic locations, I made the decision to change my career. I studied and started again from the bottom into the world of IT. Learning how systems work and how businesses utilise tech. I have worked with inspirational people in IT who guided me through my many mistakes and the various pitfalls that you face, both logically and laterally. Working in hospitality gave me the skills to adapt and overcome pretty much any situation so facing into the storm of working on a service desk was a natural progression. All the while, still learning, still studying and developing my skill base. My flair for people management came through during my journey and whilst I get excited about networks and infosec (I am an uber geek, after all!) I put my experience to the test taking on an Operational Management role. It is challenging but rewarding and I encourage anyone who wants to move into IT to just take that first step. It will change everything. I love my job, I really mean that. And, you will too. Find that niche in the huge world of tech and develop yourself.
