I completed my Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Production Health Management Feedlot Technologies in 2001. I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Rangeland Ecosystem Science in 2005.I was raised in production agriculture and was actively involved in the family operation until I moved to Wyoming in 2006 to pursue career opportunities in ecosystem management.I decided to pursue a Master of Science Degree (MS) in Rangeland Ecosystem Science in 2010 to further my career oppurtunities. I chose an online program through Colorado State University (CSU). This allowed me to continue to gain job skills while working full time. I completed the program in December 2012. I completed a graduate certificate in animal science in May 2020 to further strengthen my teaching credentials.While working in environmental consulting, I completed reports for coal, oil and gas, uranium, and other minerals in Montana, South Dakota, and Wyoming. I conducted field studies for soil, vegetation, and wetland paramaters. Studies I conducted included:Threatended and endanagered plant surveys according to US Fish and Wildlife Regulations (USFWS). Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments (EA), Biological Evaluations (BE), and Biological Assesments (BA) in response to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements. After working with various entities in energy development and agriculture I see the need to further education in agriculture sciences. Understanding ecosystem ecology, animal science and business and would aid in conflict resolution and reaching the desired management goals for production agriculture and natural resources management.The Covid-19 pandemic also strengthens the need for agriculture education. During my work at this time I have fielded many questions in animal and plant sciences. Those questions have involved crop or garden crops as well as animal nutrition and health. My goal is to provide my students with an overall education to pursue opportunities in agriculture and natural resources management.This includes courses in: *Business, *Animal Science,*Plant and Soil Science, *Natural Resource Management, and*EconomicsI believe one cannot effectively manage ecosystems without a broad knowledge in all areas.
