After a number of painful experiences working with Digital Design Agencies, Vince Angeloni, James (Riley) Evans and Gordon Evans founded VRG Interactive. The business objective goal was to re-thinking and shift the traditional approach for agency based, software consulting.A traditional agency's prerogative is typically to "develop as much software as possible, as quickly as possible". Very little focus is put on end user experience, testing strategies, scalability, marketing, product-market-fit and most importantly, the business that a client must cultivate around the software being developed.VRG was founded to help bridge this gap. We would leverage our industry know-how and experience to help our clients bring their business ideas to life; from initial concept to eventual product market fit.At VRG we pushed our team to think differently -- we wanted our designers to think like developers and our developers think like business owners. First, we challenged our designers to bring designs to the table that could actually be developed rather than the artistic concepts which frequently plague the agency think-space. Second, we challenged our developers to think at a higher level, not just about the code they were writing, but about the actual business problem they were solving and the value an end-user would derive from the feature being developed.This "Value First" way of thinking would turn out to so appealing that in only 6 months our team would be acquired by Kinetic Cafe. The VRG way of thinking would become a foundational pillar in Kinetic's overarching development and design practices at scale.
