In my 21 year career as a professional pilot, I have accumulated more than 7,500 commercial flight hours in helicopters and airplanes. I currently work as a First Officer in the Airbus A320, with JetBlue Airways.During the last fourteen years, I have also served as an IFR Captain in the Sikorsky S-76 Helicopter (operating in the Northeast USA) and as a Captain in the Sikorsky S-64 (Sky-Crane) Helicopter. This employment background has given me experience in various multi-engine aircraft platforms with complex avionics / auto-pilot systems, operating in remote locations as well as in high paced air traffic control systems (IFR/VFR) and performing flights that demand the utmost precision in a cockpit environment that highly emphasizes the use of Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Safety Management Systems (SMS).As a First Officer, a Captain, a Pilot Instructor and as a Project Manager, my experience has developed upon my personal skills to professionally meet the challenges involved in working in a busy industry that places a great value on safely meeting team goals, mission objectives and the needs of the customers. My previous work experience does not mean that I underestimate the learning curve that would come with a transition into a new role. Mine is a determined and persistent personality that thrives on the constant challenge to learn and improve upon myself as a pilot, as a team member, and as a person overall.
