Coding and billing for medical practices.

I was responsible for day to day operations of a very busy ob-gyn practice. Over the15 years I was with the practice we had 7 physicians, 5 midwives, and a PA.

Currently I am responsible for the clerical department which includes front desk operations, billing department, patient collections, surgery scheduling and coding, medical records and switchboard operator. Performed performance evaluations yearly on staff. Documented disciplinary action and presented to employees.I assist the physicians with coding of their surgeries and procedures that are performed in the office.

My job duties were to oversee the operations of the office for the clerical staff and clinical staff. Organized time off request and coverage for the office. Verified bank deposits and delivered the deposits to the bank. Performed evaluations on employees for salary increases. Documented disciplinary action corrections.

Performed medical billing duties to include A/R, claim appeals, collections for patient balances.

Performed medical billing services for client Cornerstone Medical Center until Moses Cone Health Systems sold our division.
