In this role I completed the Jaguar Land Rover Management assessment and qualified for Jaguar Land Rover Certified Aftersales Manager.

In this role I was recognized for my abilities and was promoted to the position of Service manager. This was also at the same time as moving into a brand new purpose built Jaguar Land Rover Arch facility.

In this position I was responsible for Workshop, Bodyshop and Reception operations with a total of 71 staff. My key responsibilities in this position were to maximize the business potential to meet company budgets and expectations, improve Customer Satisfaction and dealing tactfully with complaints in line with Manufacturers objectives, implement staff training/development plans and maintain our Manufacturers warranty profile. I had introduced a number of procedures and disciplines throughout, restructured the workshops to improve efficiency and coached in technical diagnosis to reduce vehicle turnaround time and return jobs.

As a workshop Supervisor I was responsible for the organising and daily running of both Workshop (PC/CV) and Bodyshop. I had 22 staff reporting to me. My key tasks were the organising and planning of the workshop loading. Controlling and issuing of all work booked in. Supervising, assisting and quality checking of work being carried out. I had also introduced a number of procedures and restructured the workshops to improve efficiency and vehicle turnaround time which in turn showed a steady improvement in business and customer satisfaction results.

I opened my own Auto Services business under the above company name. I offered a wide range of services including Breakdown Recovery, Regular maintenance, Mechanical and Electrical Repairs, Tires and Engine Management Diagnostics. I worked on a variety of makes and models including Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Ford, Vauxhall, Renault etc. I started the business from scratch and with good marketing and cold calling to local businesses etc. I built up a good customer base and had a very busy workshop operation.It was a very challenging time particularly as I started during a recession, but it has given me a great deal of experience and satisfaction which has helped me to progress and further my career in the Motor Industry.
