I have over 13 years in the construction industry, I am a qualified Line Mechanic registered with the New Zealand Electrical Workers Registration Board as a Level four line mechanic. Ive worked on 11KV, 66KV, 132KV, 220KV, 330KV, 500KV I thoroughly enjoy my job and have over 5 years experience in both New Zealand and Australia. My experience includes working on transmission power lines in New Zealand maintaining and working on high voltage power transmission lines in and around the Wellington Region. When an opportunity arose to work in Australia about three years ago I seized it. I have worked on various projects in Australia including mining sites and other remote locations. My experience includes reconfiguration of lines and construction of new towers. I also hold a Queensland Electrical License ( blue card ) for transmission power line works. My earlier experience is in light commercial and residential building construction and I hold the NZAQ national certificate in carpentry, this experience was very useful for the transmission line work.I particularly enjoy the transmission power lines work and am very comfortable working at heights. I'm currently looking for work in Australia or Canada and am looking to further my career. I'm passionate about my job, safety conscious, have an excellent work ethic and can see myself being a crew leader in the future.Before I obtained my Line Mechanic License I was a building apprentice through out Wellington with over 10 + years experience in building/renovating houses through the hills of Wellington.
