I am a full time Police Constable currently working for Nottinghamshire Police. My current role within the organisation is an investigator on the Managed Investigations Team based at Newark Police station, covering the district of Newark and Sherwood.I started my career in Policing/Law enforcement at 18 when I started training with the British Transport Police (BTP) as a Special Constable (volunteer officer) whilst also starting employment with Nottinghamshire Police as a Civilian member of staff as an Emergency Call Handler. When I attested and passed out with the BTP, I was posted to Nottingham Railway station, where I was tutored by full-time regular officers, and covered the railway infrastructure across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.After just over a year as an Emergency Call Handler and a Special Constable, I joined Nottinghamshire Police as a full time Police Constable. Between December 2017 and March 2024 I served in front-line, operational roles serving various different communities in Nottinghamshire; including the City of Nottingham and the districts of Ashfield & Bassetlaw. These roles have including Response Policing, Neighbourhood Policing, and Pro-Active Policing.From March 2024, I started in a more investigative role on the Managed Incident Team (MIT) based at Newark Police Station, covering the district of Newark & Sherwood. This involved investigating non-serious and non-complex crime that occurred across the district.Away from work, I have just started studying an online, distance learning degree in Cybersecurity with the Open University to develop my knowledge and skillset.I am also an advocake of Emergency Services personel and Police officers (in particular men, because we aren't very good at it) being more open about their mental health and ending the stigma. It is okay to not be okay.
