About Jamie Knapil Stack
Clearances available upon request.An experienced software, application and systems engineer who is customer and application focused by utilizing a mixture of technical skills and business experience. I enjoy working closely with end users to deliver software to meet their needs while exceeding their expectations. My work has been focused in the electromagnetic simulation software area utilizing Remcom’s XFdtd, Wireless InSite and XGtd. In addition, I am highly experienced in US Government Programs. This work has included working with SBIRs, for one of which I was the Project Lead, and other government programs to develop highly sophisticated government software.Another area of interest I have is GPGPU technology. I have published papers on my work and presented them at conferences. I have explored GPGPU technology using OpenCL, RapidMind, and CUDA which is where most of my work has been. I used CUDA to help speed up our 2-dimensional Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) solver resulting in over a 30X speed up. Problems that used to take days can now be done in the matter of hours if not minutes.
