Substitute teaching at various schools in Yellowknife, NT.I have worked at most of the schools in Yellowknife at some point including:Weledeh Catholic School, St-Patrick's High School, St-Joseph's School, J.H. Sissons, William MacDonald School, Ecole Alain St-Cyr, Sir John Franklin High School.

Working with teachers and select student groups to plan, and deliver literacy based intervention for at risk students (1 or more grade levels behind benchmark).Collecting, compiling and analyzing student benchmark data to discern which interventions are working, and where more focus is needed.

Teaching core French oral and writing skills to students ranging from grade 2 to 7.

Teaching all ELA classes from grade 7 - 12. Responsible for preparing students for a 30-1 departmental exam.Working with students whose primary language was often French. (ESL component). Used various digital intervention programs including Reading Buddy, Rosetta Stone, etc.

Advanced Field Placement (AFX)Developed and delivered unit plans and daily lesson plans for the 8th and 9th grade in the Social Studies area of study.Formed connections with staff and students, and worked collaboratively with mentor teacher.Implemented project based learning with a tremendous amount of success.
