As a practicum student, I shadowed the teacher within her own classroom initially. Once she was comfortable with my skill level, she allowed me to take over and teach two lessons on my own as well as do an activity with the students. I worked alongside the students in kitchen and sewing labs. I networked with teachers in other departments and administrators.

Robberson Elementary

My FACS Ed class partnered with the Junior League of Springfield in order to teach financial literacy to underprivileged fourth grade students at the community run school. We worked with the students both in small groups as well as one on one over a series of weekly classes to better equip the students with the financial skills they need to succeed in their futures.

Glendale High School
