•Maintain and update budget information for supplies and expenses, student worker payroll, faculty grants, and other department expenses •Coordinate and schedule meetings; arrange travel for staff members, handle reimbursements for search and screen activities and events•Perform routine clerical tasks such as mailing, copying, filing, and scanning•Screen phone calls and department emails; answer and direct questions through proper channels•Hire student workers; field applications and complete all necessary paperwork•Greet visitors and students, ensure a positive first impression of the department and university•Maintain and replenish office equipment and supplies including printers, copiers, computers, Scantron grading machine and other necessary materials•Coordinate shipping of time-sensitive materials and manage equipment returns•Assist with student registration; compile student information, field questions, assist with software and scheduling needs•Maintain subscriptions, pay department invoices, and transfer department charges into appropriate accounts using the Cost Transfer Tool and UW-Shared Financial Systems
