Reported directly to the Store Manager, with responsibility for face to face marketing, sales and promotion, with the ultimate goal of increasing overall revenue. Focusing on international fine wines, and rewards club membership, further accountability was given for with the addition of duty manager role.

 Day to day management of in store activities including providing excellent customer service, hands-on management of retail operations including: directing employees, receipting stock, assisting customers, operating a POS system, handling cash, EFTPOS and credit card facilities. Managing and motivating staff with accurate rostering and payroll activities while developing their skills to achieve organsiational goals, sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Building an effective and successful team, providing regular training in various aspects of the organisation including wine tasting and knowledge, customer service, inventory management. Providing mentor sessions that result in high staff morale and increased retention rates.  Maintaining comprehensive up to date product knowledge through internal training, attending regular spirit tastings, showcase tastings and monitoring latest beer, spirit and wine releases. Product merchandising: including sales display set ups, wine, beer and spirit tastings along with the preparation of tasting notes, presentations and promotion materials. Seamlessly orchestrated the store inventory ordering using the in-house stock system, restocking goods, pricing, promotional planning and merchandising. Maintaining a low stock on hand, whilst achieving sales targets and stocktake results.  Responsible for coordinating multiple people with multiple tasks. Motivating a professional team of multiple employees whilst meeting tight deadlines. Key achievement: Successful project management of two store openings, including the merchandise ordering and stocking, staff management store set up and promotion, all completed within budget and on time.
