I am a sport enthusiast where my passion has stemmed from the commitment shown by teachers, lecturers and colleagues throughout my professional and educational career. I have an appetite to write, analyse and research which is explicitly reflected in my university dissertation. My research had a direct impact on my own practice in work and placements.Throughout my career, I have carried out a number of voluntary positions with a sporting and educational setting to further my awareness in these areas. In developing my knowledge, I have gained a role within Sport and Leisure. Sport and Leisure has provided me with opportunities to manage teams, develop my own CPD, attend training workshops and mentor young people aged 3-16 years in sport programmes. Attending such workshops has enhanced my teaching and management by providing a wealth of information from leadership to dealing with health & safety. The workshops increased my knowledge, skills and confidence to try out new strategies to make working environments more supportive, positive and inclusive. Overall, the experiences and skills I gave gained through professional, educational and voluntary positions have made me a more well-rounded practitioner, always looking to reflect and develop.
