Supported systems as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) through all steps of RMF by reviewing vulnerability scan results at the operating system, hardware and application level. Worked with stakeholders to implement mitigations and enforce system-level solutions to resolve security posture requirements to achieve and maintain authority to operate (ATO). Ensures all system security procedures are being followed, including maintaining and reviewing software security patching and audit files per customer requirements. Use vulnerability management systems, automated security scanning tools, and system accreditation record systems, including eMASS. Accurately developed and maintained security artifacts to support the IA program including System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), Risk Assessment Reports (RAR), Security Control Traceability Matrix (SCTM) Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and other documents as needed to ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 security controls.

Responsible for administration, maintenance, and tuning of Navy's client/server architecture used to support the development, testing, and delivery of enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services. Provide services for all phases of system engineering, integration and support to ensure customers meet mission goals and objectives. These efforts include a range of infrastructure implementation and integration, including, but not limited to, concept development, planning, requirements definition and analysis, systems integration, testing, implementation, deployment, support and sustainment. Patching Windows OS and middleware products by vulnerability management and remediation of STIG checklist and mitigation of ACAS scans. Participates in reviewing performance logs and monitors system performance. Installs, upgrades, configures, tests and maintains all types of Microsoft applications and software packages in a production environment. Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes. Reviewing of system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Performs regular file archival and purge as necessary. Troubleshoots and resolves system hardware, software and communications problems. Aids in performing configurations and adjustments to enhance database file capacity.

Project to assist with Step 3 in the RMF process prior to Base Certification & Accreditation. Configure servers to meet functional specifications to maintain the systems integrity -- Verify compliance and integrity via SCAP Scans and remediate findings on STIG checklist via GPO. Perform ongoing software maintenance to include installing or upgrading software. Establish and maintain user accounts. Manage Active Directory administration to include GPO creation and troubleshooting.

Provide print management support including responding to emails, performing break-fix troubleshooting and analysis of problems and associated repair activities to return equipment to normal operational status. Assisted with special projects, including configuration changes during server upgrades and disablement of non-supported CLINs.

Provide Infrastructure support for including responding to trouble calls, performing break-fix troubleshooting and analysis of problems and associated repair activities to return equipment, system or network to normal operational status. Perform or assist with new installations and / or life cycle upgrades for shipboard ADP /IT networks and equipment; provide shipboard training to crew members as necessary for LAN and IT Equipment operation. Interface and coordinate daily and planned activities with customer representatives, shipboard personnel, other contractors providing specialized LAN or network communications support, prepare and provide daily work reports, and respond to queries for ad hoc data and network configuration and inventory reports. Support for remote sites across the Mid-Atlantic Region for Navy Reserves and Civilians with participation in all aspects of Active Directory management with administration of Organizational Units and Objects; MS Exchange 2010 mailboxes, public folders, security, and distribution groups using PowerShell.
