My work on this project has been focused on modeling the signaling pathway involved in PDGF gradient sensing in fibroblasts which are a particular cell type responsible for wound repair. • I implemented a system of partial differential equations in the software VCell in search of mechanisms in the signaling pathway that enable the model to qualitatively match live-cell imaging results.• I provided candidate feedback mechanisms to guide experimental work and established a framework from which to assess the roles of other putative feedback loops indicated in the literature.• I used TIRF microscopy to perform live-cell imaging experiments to test model predictions.
