I am currently the Director of Communications for Maricopa Ambulance in Phoenix, Arizona. Maricopa Ambulance currently provides 9-1-1 service to the cities of Scottsdale, Chandler, Glendale and Goodyear, as well interfacility transport requests from hospital partners. With existing business, Maricopa Ambulance’s communications center answers approximately 70,000 emergency and nonemergency calls annually. I have more than 15 years of communication center operations and management in Arizona. Directing system status management deployment strategies to ensure efficient response for 9-1-1 service areas and hospital facility clients, as well as oversee performance reporting to customers and the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). Prior to joining Maricopa Ambulance, I was the communications manager for American Medical Response in Tucson, Arizona. I served in that system since 2005 rising from dispatcher to the communications center manager directly overseeing a team of 25 dispatchers and four supervisors. Jamie is a member of the International Association of Emergency Medical Dispatchers and has completed the ED-Q certification course, the cornerstone of quality assurance for medical, fire and police dispatch protocols. She has completed numerous FEMA incident command certifications. I have completed and am a graduate of the Ambulance Service Manager program and Communications Center Manager Program through Fitch and Associates. I have also completed and am a graduate of Priority Ambulance Leadership Foundation EMS Leadership of Tomorrow program.
