The role demands a good level of stakeholder engagement and trust as I am regularly working across various business functions to agree the right standards always ensuring the customer receives the highest level of service (water quality, always on etc) whilst maintaining a efficient and profitable approach for Severn Trent Water.

Leadership and welfare management of a team of individuals that a managed the standards and procedures for water distribution.Governance of approximately 300 standard operating procedures that all levels of distribution staff have to follow to ensure they are understood, simple and concise.Communication of any changes to standards and procedures that occur and the sharing of lessons learnt cross fuctionally between water and waste.Development of water distributions standards In line with an innovations process that I developed and implemented across the distribution workplace.Ensuring compliance to the standards and procedures by carrying out focussed analysis or on site mentoring and coaching of the workforce.

West

Ensuring the performance of the West region region of Severn Trent Waters performance was inline with company key performance indicators.Key responsibilities involved assisting the regional management team with root cause analysis of performance issues providing knowledge, expertise and acting as a direct link between management and field.

Leakage detection and water network hydraulic problem solving. Undertook NVQ lv2 in leakage detection and water engineering passing with distinction certification.Whilst undertaking this role I also implemented SAP back office (including CLICK into the West regional leakage departments acting as project lead for leakage.

Repair and maintenance of the water distribution network in line with company targets of water quality and productivity.The role required a focus on health and safety and a problem solving mindset ensuring the water we provide to our customers is always on and good to drink.
