Supervising a team of fifteen staff members, the Support Services Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the following areas within Edmonton's Food Bank:- Administration- Information Technology- Data Services- Client Services (client intake and call centre)- Reception- Service to Walk-In Clients- Closed Hampers (agency food hamper orders)- Hamper Delivery Program- Support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors

The role of the Office Manager is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. Ultimately, the Office Manager should be able to ensure the smooth running of the ED’s administration and communication, and help to improve company procedures and day-to-day operations.Responsibilities include:- Correspondence and administration- Research and policy creation- Briefing materials, promotion of information, internal communications- Sourcing items for the organization (purchasing and errands)- Schedule meetings and appointments- Assist ED with HR functions- Assist with on-board processes & engagement- Computer and IT support- Plan and support in-house or off-site activities including meetings and events- Follow-up and supporting contacts and stakeholders- Administration and support of the ED- Other requests and assignments

• My duties include assisting with outreach to community organizations, non-governmental organizations and individual constituents;• Aiding in the development and editing of outgoing communication (newsletters, emails, pamphlets, etc.) from the constituency office;• Accompanying and/or representing the MLA at community events;• Assisting the MLA in planning, follow-up and supporting follow-up with contacts made at local events.
