Visual Design Consultant (Product Designer) at Direct Line Group working across the group's websites and quote journeys for each of the groups’ brands (Directline, Churchill, Privelege and Green Flag) I am currently responsible for designing the quote journey for our car insurance customers on our three main brands Directline, Churchill and Privilege. I conduct regular user tests to make sure that any design changes are backed up with relevant data and customer insight. Over my time in this role I have also re-branded Directline.com with our “where on it”campaign and Churchill.com and created the iconography and animated icons used throughout both sites. While my main focus is on our end to end web journeys i’ve also been able to apply my skills in animation and illustration to our websites to add more character and charm for our customers. I’m part of the design accessibility working group who actively design with accessibility in mind and also influence other stakeholders how to think differently so that everyone who may use our sites are considered equally. Previous areas i’ve worked in during my digital design career include - SEO information pages, Branding, Directline Business Insurance, Pet Life and Travel, Directline SELECT (Premier insurance, Churchill Business. I’ve also been creative lead on some internal projects which I hope to be able to post about soon.

Graphic Designer across all DLG brands (Direct Line, Churchill, Green Flag, Privilege, Shotgun, NIG, DLG partnerships and DLG Group as well as affiliate brands including: Natwest, Roadserve and Caravan and motorhome club) My role is to produce creative marketing materials for a variety of high profile campaigns across multiple platforms. I apply my multimedia skills consisting of animation/motion graphics, illustration, film, photography, re touching and more to campaigns running in each brand as well as providing creative support business wide.I work in the award winning Marketing Studio which is Direct Line Group's in house design team comprised of myself and one other designer and we are heavily relied on by various stakeholders to produce high quality work as well as offering an alternate cost effective solution to getting work produced externally. It is also my responsibility to track savings and challenge quotes if they seem unreasonable from external sources, and from April 17 - April18 we have managed to save the business over £600,000.

I’ve been working with the incredible team and the creative lead at caha! to develop the visual assets our customers will see when using our app. I’ve created iconography, bespoke illustrations and animations to give the caha! app the design flair it deserves. I’ve been focusing on creating app ready animations using Lottie and JSON files to ensure our app runs smoothly and doesn’t impact the experience our customers have I’ve also been developing brand assets to extend our brand library. Other assets created while on the project have been IOS/Android app store graphics, internal comms videos/explainer videos and visuals for the caha! website, which you can see for yourself here - www.getcaha.com

My main client over the past year has been Avian for Business ( previously known as Avian Mobile) I was asked to re-market the business, Re-design marketing material and develop the brand and the company's overall design. I have produced graphics for the company that can be used at shows, on their site and more. I have produced posters, business cards, logo re design and website illustrations for this particular project.

As part of this role my job is to ensure that a new piece of software that is being developed is functioning as expected, I have to pay attention to various elements such as design, functionality, user experience and more to make sure that the product the team have been creating works as efficiently as possible. The software will allow various departments: creative, marketing, continuity, production and more at ITV to be able to work in a more collaborative, controlled and efficient way to create their campaigns from initial ideas through to play out.

My role as runner is to ensure that day to day works can run as smoothly as possible for other team members. The tasks can vary from dropping off and collecting mail, cutting and editing videos preparing them to be sent off internally or externally and meeting and greeting vocal artists. So the jobs are quite varied, however I like the different challenges that each day brings as well as being surrounded by people who are in the same field as myself and finding out and learning new things from them!Im hoping that this role will allow me to progress, add to my career experience and give me an insight into the runnings of a creative department in a well established company.

After doing some running in the creative department at ITV I was given the opportunity to animate a halloween promotional video for itv which was aired on the 24th October! I will be going back to help out with more projects in the future!

Looking after the facility and the customers that use it, always maintaing customer service and care to an exceptional level, ensuring that the staff/team are working efficiently and are working well as a team. Other roles include plant room duties, cleaning, office and reception work, lifeguarding and first aid.

I have got a 2 week project starting on the 18th March 2015 to produce a short info graphic presentation to be used to promote a new product to internal staff. I am freelancing on behalf of Vale Productions.

I was approached by a local band who wish to combine their debut single with animation. I started the project on my own, established the story and character designs etc. and am now collaborating with Loz Hawnt a close friend from university so that we can get the best result for the final video with the timeframe given. Studied BA Animation at Portsmouth University, specialising in 2D animation with good knowledge in 3D animating software (MAYA) wanting to get into concept art, matte painting, environmental art, visual development and 2D animation

I studied BA animation for 3 years. I specialised in 2D animation but also learnt how to use 3D software (MAYA) so my knowledge in this area is very good. I am now actively looking for a job in concept art, visual effects, environment artist, matte painting and 2D animation so if you need a candidate like myself then please get in touch with me !

As student rep it is my responsibility to ensure that my fellow classmate get heard and that I ensure that any action that needs to be taken on any issues raised. I am also fundraiser/organiser for our end of year show hopefully being held in London and so attend relevant meetings and ensure that as a class we can get enough money together to pay for our venue as well as other event essentials.

I am currently working on an animated TV show at the University of Portsmouth Directed by lecturer Tony Garth.
