Jamie's experience extends from strategic political communications work for leaders on Capitol Hill and on presidential campaigns to managing public affairs for leading global companies. In 2012, she started Quartus Strategies where she advises clients on public affairs and communications campaigns on policy issue areas including education, manufacturing and transportation. From January 2011 to March of 2012, Jamie served as the Chief of Public Relations and Government Affairs at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. She was responsible for and managed the media relations, marketing and government relations departments and led the public affairs team through historic milestones for the agency including the opening of the National 9/11 Memorial.Prior to the Port Authority, Jamie was a member of General Electric’s corporate communications team where she helped lead the development and implementation of global corporate campaigns. She worked closely with the global communications, marketing, digital and public affairs teams to proactively define the company’s reputation, and she served as communications manager for the company’s award-winning Ecomagination clean energy business strategy. From 2007 to 2010, Jamie worked at the DCI Group, a communications and public affairs firm, where she helped lead public affairs campaigns and coalition building activities for Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations with a focus on education, telecommunications and energy issues. Jamie’s tenure on Capitol Hill included press positions in both the House and Senate. She served as press secretary for two members of the U.S. House of Representatives and as press secretary for Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX). Jamie also served as a member of the McCain-Palin campaign communications team and as a state communications director for the Bush-Cheney ’04 campaign.
