Provide leadership, direction, and management to our team of professionals and managers. My role involves strategic planning to drive the administrative operations towards achieving our goals and strategic objectives of Purdue CS.

Provide strategic direction for student affairs including enrollment, scholarships, honors and awards, academic advising, student organizations and student support services. Serve as a central contact for outside organizations that wish to interact with veterinary nursing and veterinary medical students. Work with the Student Services team to provide high-quality student services and create a positive and supportive climate.

Provide programmatic support and services for nearly 1,100 military-connected students. Direct the goals and objectives of the veteran and military student programs and the Veterans Success Center. Supervise 3 full-time employees, and student employees. Develop and maintain partnerships with campus, local, regional, state, and federal organizations in order to provide relevant and current resources to the student population. Subject matter expert for military-connected education benefits and campus policy development.

As supervisor for a unit of nearly 100 sailors I was accountable for individual and unit readiness. Lead multiple teams to ensure all administrative tasks, training qualifications, and medical requirements were completed with 100% accountability. As a result of my leadership I earned the 2011 Navy Reserve Sailor of the Year for the State of Indiana. Served in other various capacities; supervisor in charge of the unit’s daily tasks, training coordinator, administrative officer, physical fitness coordinator, and small unit leader. Deployed to Spain in 2003 and Iraq in 2008.

Served as the School Certifying Official for approximately 230 veteran and military related students. Advisor for the Student Veterans Organization. Opened a veterans center and created services and programming to support the veteran and military related students. Supervised 3 work study students.

Provided administrative assistance and professional level support to the Office of the Chancellor. Supervised one office assistant and one student assistant, coordinated meetings, luncheons, social functions, special events, and conferences for the Chancellor. Facilitated professional communications and events with the public and with elected officials. Served as the point of communication and coordination between the chancellor’s office, the regional board of trustees, central office, the leadership team, and elected officials. Prepared all materials and presentations for the regional board of trustees meetings and other functions as well as produced a year-end statistical report utilized by legislators, major donors, college officials, and key business leaders.
