At N&H McGuire we produce all types of carpentry and joinery from building and erecting be-spoke timber kits to producing small furniture in our workshop. We take pride in our attention to detail and quality of workmanship in everything we do. in our workshop we produce a wide range of joinery including all types of windows and doors, special run and also made to match skirting and facings, different types of moldings, made to measure timber conservatorys and roof lights and all types of small and large bespoke furniture made from a wide range of timber materials. Out of the workshop we make and construct our own timber kits, renovations, barn conversions, extensions, rot repair, insurance damage and various types of timber cladding.

I started at Vietchi as a joiner. Here I developed skills in metal studding and framing, fire protection and various sheeting materials. I was soon noticed for my attention to detail and quality of workmanship being asked to take position as supervisor and quality control to aid the site manager. During these duties I was in charge of health and safety making sure my team were adhering to our health and safety plan, I attended site progress meetings to provide performance up dates, organised drawings and specifications for daily works, set targets for sub contractors and operatives. Coordinating with the main contractor for available work fronts, any issues that needed to be addressed and to provide the site manager with up to date snagging lists. Specific training during this period included Safe Access, scaffolding and mechanical lift operation.
